Jerome A.
Clark, born in Philadelphia in 1934, is generally considered a modern day sculptor, although he has also excelled in paintings
and sketches. He is highly reminiscent of Utrillo and Rodan, and is listed in Google as Jerome Clark, Sculptor. He began expressing his art through classes offered by the Nuns and Priests.
He also attended a neighborhood program at the Philadelphia School of Graphic Art.
Working for Sperry Rand Corporation,
Jerry's formal education was in Liberal Arts and Business at Villanova University, with additional post graduate studies at
the Harvard Business School. His background also includes two years in the Marine Corps with service in Korea.
In
1977, he took classes at the Houston Museum of Fine Art's Glassel School in lithography and sculpture. The past twenty-five
years have been devoted to the art community. Jerry currently resides in Houston. Sculpting is now his means of artistic expression.
His influence on current sculptors can be reflected in very small sizes and attention
to detail.
